In these terms, "Website" means gota.learnworlds.com and any GOTA course pages; "Course" means any GOTA online course, including its videos, manuals, knowledge checks, exams, assignments and certificates; "Learner" or "you" means the person enrolled; and "Services" means the courses, consultations and other services we provide.
You must be at least 18, or have the consent of a parent or guardian, to buy a course. Our courses are designed for adult professionals.
If you buy for a company or team, these terms apply to each learner, together with any quote or invoice we issue. If they conflict, the quote or invoice terms apply.
- You are responsible for keeping your login details private and for all activity on your account. Each enrolment is for one named learner and cannot be shared, transferred or resold.
- All course materials, including videos, manuals, workbooks, exams, templates, logos and text, are owned by or licensed to GOTA and are protected by copyright and other laws.
We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to use the materials for your own professional learning. You may not copy, record, resell, share or publish them, or use them to train others, without our written permission.
Our courses and website may link to regulations, official sources and other websites. We are not responsible for their content or availability.
You may link to our home page or course pages in a fair and lawful way that does not suggest an endorsement by GOTA that does not exist.
- When you use any discussion, messaging or submission feature, you must be respectful and lawful, and must not post anything offensive, misleading, infringing or harmful.
- You keep ownership of the work you submit, such as your Final Shipment File. You allow us to store, review and grade it, and to use anonymized extracts to improve our courses.
- We may remove content or suspend access if these rules are broken.
- Knowledge checks, exams and assignments must be your own work. Exams are closed book unless stated otherwise.
- A GOTA Certificate of Completion is issued when you meet all course requirements, including any expert-graded assessment. It shows completion of the course at an introductory level.
- Certificates are not a license and do not certify any product, operation or shipment as organic. We may withdraw a certificate obtained through cheating, plagiarism or false information.
- You may close your account at any time by emailing us. We may suspend or close an account that breaks these terms, with notice where reasonable. Fees are not refunded when an account is closed for a breach of these terms.
- Course fees are shown in US dollars on the course page and at checkout. Payments are processed securely by Stripe. Discount codes cannot be combined unless stated, and may have expiry dates or usage limits. Any applicable taxes are shown at checkout.
- After payment, the course is available in your account. Courses are self-paced.
- We may update course content to reflect changes in regulations or to improve the course.
- Some assessments have deadlines, such as submitting the Final Shipment File within 7 days of passing the exam. These are stated in the course.
You may request a full refund within 14 days of purchase if you have not opened any course materials.
- Once you have opened a Training Manual, video, Knowledge Check or exam, the course is considered accessed and fees are non-refundable, except where the law requires otherwise.
- Company and invoiced purchases follow the terms in the quote.
- To request a refund, email support@globalorganictradeacademy.com with your name and order details. Approved refunds are paid to the original payment method.
Our use of your personal data is explained in our Privacy Policy, which forms part of these terms.
- Where a product includes a consultation, for example 30 or 60 minutes in English or Japanese, you book it using the link provided after purchase.
- Sessions can be rescheduled with reasonable notice.
- Consultations provide general business information and are not legal, customs or certification advice.
- Our courses and consultations are educational. They are not legal, customs, tax or certification advice. Regulations change, so always check current official sources and consult qualified advisers before making trade decisions.
We may update the website, our courses and these terms from time to time. The version on this page at the time of your purchase applies to that purchase.
- The website is provided "as is". We do not guarantee that it will always be available or error-free, and we may suspend it for maintenance.
- To the extent permitted by law, GOTA is not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for business losses such as lost profits, shipments or contracts. Our total liability to you for any purchase is limited to the fees you paid for it. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still enforce it later.
These terms, together with our Privacy Policy and any quote we issue, are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services.
Only you and GOTA have rights under these terms.
